Our VTEK ® Wither Relief fly sheets are designed to prevent rubbing and relieve pressure on moderate to high withers. The upright shoulder and shape over the withers are designed to fit Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Appendix horses, or those with upright shoulder conformation. It includes an extended drop to cover a deeper heartgirth and they are shaped with darts at the hips to give a more contoured fit around the rump. Extends 6 to 8 inches onto the mane with fleece placed where the mane meets the sheet, further preventing rubbing.
The open front option features double front snaps with new and improved wider hook and loop closures, allowing you to easily adjust the fly sheet for the perfect amount of “snugness” at the front of the chest. Plus, the snaps make it easy to put on and remove.
The bellyband closure option protects from flies and midges biting along the sensitive underbelly. Brass-plated hardware is positioned to avoid rubbing or poking while your horse is lying down, and the t-post hardware on the bellyband closure includes locking bands and incorporates elastic inserts for more give as the horse moves since the proper fit is with the bellyband snug and flush to the belly.

"This is the second fly sheet, exact same model I have purchased. While my mare is typically good to not destroy her "clothes", they have lasted between 3 and 4 summers. That's great durability. Also!! I have witnessed on two separate occasions horse flies trying to bite through the fly sheets and failing. The horses didn't even realized a horse fly had landed on them. Schneiders doesn't advertise this benefit but it is real and how grateful I am for it. This is the only fly sheet for me."
"This fits my big Appendix mare and her neck and shoulders well, no rubs. She gets welts from bug bites and this helps significantly. No welts where she is covered. Very lightweight, great color. No rips so far. I would love if the tail flap was almost twice as long."
"I purchased my first Schneider’s mosquito mesh fly sheet for my paint/draft cross gelding to replace the Horseware Amigo fly sheet he came with, which had ripped. He’s on day turnout and has a lot of white hair/pink skin across his top line, so I wanted something that wouldn’t cook him in sweaty New England summers and would give him a bit of protection from sunburn. My horse enjoys a thorough roll to scratch his back and bum every day, but isn’t otherwise hard on his gear. Well, I purchased another Amigo fly sheet as a back-up when the Schneider’s one went to the blanket washer, but it didn’t even last 6 weeks. He tore it shoulders to hip - I don’t even know how. And that’s how I ended up buying the second Schneider’s Mosquito Mesh fly sheet!"
"Good material, but bellly band straps way too short. I let mine out all the way and it's a snug fit. Almost like a cinch or girth. I bought a 72". Fits fine in length. I have a 14.2 senior that runs on the slim side. No way does this fit a rounder horse. I tried it on with a sheet but then took the sheet off after verifying length and to fasten straps. With the sheet on I am quite sure I would not have been able to get the straps fastened at all. Plus the leg straps have 2 buckles to adjust, so it's a pain. So buyer beware not sure what you are to do about this but letting you know."
"I carefully measured my horse according to the sizing instructions, but this sheet still does not fit properly through her large shoulders. I am also disappointed with the overall quality. I have owned older Schneiders fly sheet styles that fit better, felt more durable, and were much better made. Unfortunately, this newer style does not compare, and I would not purchase it again."
