Woof Wear Mud Fever Turnout Boots

Overview

Woof Wear Mud Fever Turnout Boots
The Woof Wear Mud Fever Turnout Boots seal the leg from the knee to the base of the heel to prevent mud from getting onto your horse's legs, especially in the winter, which can result in mud fever. Mud fever, or pastern dermatitis, is always a concern in the wetter months, and these boots not only prevent it but encourage healing if your horse already suffers from mud fever. The waterproof and breathable fabric around the cannon bone prevents overheating, and a closed-fitting hoof capsule with Kevlar reinforced heel protection. They encourage cool air to circulate, keeping your horse comfortable and cool. Suitable for front and hind legs, these boots keep your horse's legs safe and clean during turnout.
  • Features a waterproof and breathable fabric around the cannon bone to prevent overheating
  • Close-fitting hoof capsule with Kevlar reinforced heel protection, these innovative boots will keep legs clean and dry
  • A shaped PU strike pad also offers brushing protection for your horse's legs
  • Fully breathable boot designed to encourage cool air to circulate
  • Creates a protective barrier from below the knee
  • Abrasion-resistant Kevlar® to protect the delicate bulbs of the heels
  • Sold as a Pair

Well made

"These are very well made and will be perfect for protecting my mare from scratches this winter."

Marcilyn L. (5/5)

Absolutely love them! My guy

"Absolutely love them! My guy has thick hair on his legs so his mud fever gets pretty bad. After applying some Coat Defense and putting these on, they can be completely caked in mud yet still on and his legs are clean. Cleaning them is a breeze just a quick hose and they dry fairly quickly. He wears them 24/7 due to having a runout that allows him turnout where the ground is 12 in of mud in some spots. After not being touched for 5 days they were still like I just put them on! Fit wise I would say be careful as technically he should be in med/lg but due to his hoof size we had to go up to xl for all of them."

BETHANY D. (5/5)

I would buy this again.

"I bought these to try to prevent a recurrence of severe cellulitis, secondary to chronic scratches. They do seem to help keep the mud off, but the fitting is bulky and odd."

Kathy (4/5)

Excellent! Definitely buying again!

"These boots are amazing! My horse has mud fever on all four leads. These boots are keeping him dry and mud free allowing him to heal. Definitely getting a back up pair so I can clean muddy ones and have a dry pair ready!"

Danielle (5/5)

Decent for individual turnout

"Nice idea - did not last. Velcro straps ripped early on. Updated review with more stars for the quick response and resolution by Schneiders!"

Haley (3/5)

Decent for individual turnout

"Nice idea - did not last. Velcro straps ripped in first day. Would maybe work in small, individual turnout."

Haley (2/5)

I will but this product again.

"These boots are just what I needed to keep my horse's ankles and pasterns dry and clean. I am going to buy a second pair to put in rotation."

Carla (5/5)

Worked about as well as I expected them to. . .

"It's certainly not a perfect product. I didn't honestly expect it would do everything it claimed but I hoped they would work better than nothing - which they did. The mud this year is terrible."
