Durable molded rubber with heavy duty 5" die case trigger snaps for maximum security. Excellent for teaching young horses to tie, allows some give while being very difficult to break. 30" long. Never leave an inexperienced or nervous horse unattended when tied. For best results, you should attach this to your wall with a very durable and well mounted piece of high quality hardware. Mount the hardware high enough for horse to stand tied comfortably, but up high enough so that a horse pulling back cannot get leverage. Horse will learn that it is easier to stand quietly than to resist tying. Some older horses may not be able to learn to stand quietly when tied, especially if they have had bad experiences in the past. Rubber GUARANTEED for TWO years.

Comments about Dura-Tech® Pull and Tie:

I like to use this product to tie a young horse to teach them patience. It works well in that if the horse pulls back, it gives which teaches the horse to relax when tied.

Use these as trailer ties and also use as ties to the trailer outside at shows. better then a lead rope to become untied. Love them.

      Horses can break almost anything

      By Marti

      Pros

      • Good for inside trailer

      Cons

      • Does break

      Best Uses

Comments about Dura-Tech® Pull and Tie:

I bought two of these a couple of years ago. All went well until I trailered a young horse that pulls back when frightened. His owner clipped this pull and tie to the outside of my trailer and then something scared the horse. He sat back and snapped the pull and tie like it was twine. Lesson -- almost any tie (especially ties with hardware)will break in the right circumstances. Ties with give are probably not a good idea with horses that pull back. This is a good tie for inside the trailer where the horse can't get leverage.
