Choosing the Right Dressage Bridles and Bits

Choosing the right dressage bridle and bit is not only determined by the horse’s comfort; it also changes based on the level you ride. Using a dressage bridle with flash and a snaffle bit is perfect for lower levels, schooling, or when you and/or your horse are just starting. As the levels rise, you need to invest in a double bridle with snaffle and curb. The double bridle is mandatory at FEI levels and Grand Prix but optional at third or fourth levels.
